A new resident has appeared at the lake!! Standing approximately 12' high, this HUGE eagle emerged over the weekend from a large tree stump.
A local artist came out with his chainsaw in the morning and by the end of the day, this fabulous carving was finished! He was then stained. The white and yellow is painted.
Although Mr. Eagle belongs to friends of ours, he is being shared with the entire lake as he is next to the road and overlooking the water.
I have a feeling that there won't be any ducks hanging out underneath this guy...
Thanks for visiting!

Great scupture..must be a Hawkeye fan!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog..the brioche cups I bought online, they make such a cute presentation!
That looks great, it will be a landmark on the lake! We have a family lakehome in Southern MN about 10 miles from the Iowa border- your dock picture in your header looks so much like ours! I am a new follower!
That is very cool; it's amazing that someone can carve that out with a chain saw!!
We have been watching the Decorah Iowa eagles on the computer. They have a live stream where you can watch them, it's a mom, dad and 3 little babies. They are amazing to watch!
