Blue and white tablescape

Another amazing spring day! After spending the entire winter indoors, I want to be outside or on our sunporch as much as possible!

Blue and white is my tablescape this week. Beautiful spring weather with the blue water is so refreshing that I always want to dig into my blue stuff.

Our sunporch is called a "three season room" -- we use it in spring, summer and fall. The windows are all made of a vinyl, believe it or not. They're called Eze-Breeze panels. They are weather-resistant panels installed on aluminum frames and can be clear or tinted to provide shade and give privacy. The view through them is extremely clear! Our windows are tinted, so we can see out but nobody can see in. When they are open, it's like having a giant screened-in porch.

The vinyl panels have a unique glazing and they are shatterproof. If something hits them or is pushed into them, the material will flex and return to its original form. They are feather-light and made to glide up or down without any effort. They also tilt in or lift out and are quite easy to clean.

We just love this room!

As always, I try to keep the setting light and airy on the sunporch!

A touch of Easter with the bunny plates.

Rattan chargers. I love chargers instead of a placemat. Or with a placemat!

White swirl on the goblets is beautiful and accented by the cobalt blue wine glasses.

Bunny dishes are from Pottery Barn purchased this year.

Blue and white dishes are Queens "Calico"

White salt and pepper shakers. Love the shape of these.

Side table has white serving bowl filled with decorative blue and white ceramic balls.

Blue and white balls are also the centerpiece!

A view from above. Calm water on the lake today.

Using off white, almost cream napkins and my Julliard flatware.

Blue candles in crystal holders help to keep it feeling light and airy.

Ready to enjoy another spring evening!

What's on the table:
Rattan chargers: Bought at Walmart on clearance for only $3 each!
Dinner plates: Queens "Calico" found at TJMaxx. I didn't know the pattern name when I purchased them. (Edited to add: I am quite sure these are a copy of the original. Thanks Mary!)
Accent plates: Pottery Barn

Flatware: Oneida "Julliard" (each place setting was a wedding gift)
Napkins: Crate and Barrel

Clear goblets with white swirl: Horchow
Cobalt blue wine glasses: Pier I

Blue and white ceramic balls: Pier I (on clearance for 98 cents each)
White bowl on side table and square white dish as centerpiece: Walmart

Crystal candle holders: Orrefors
Salt and pepper shakers: Mikasa Italian Countryside

I have the calico plates too and just bought them last year. I also got mine from TJ Maxx and think they are a copy of the original Queens Calico which are quite pricey at the antique stores. I like the lesser expensive brand better, LOL! Oh, I also saw our TJ Maxx has now come out with them in black and white as well. I really love your white bunny plates, they are so adorable! Beatiful Tablescape!

That was like a breath of fresh air - the blue and white of the table against the blue and white of water and sky.
I've never seen anything quite like those bunny plates - gorgeous.

I just love blue and white! Your whole tablescape is beautiful. The bunny plates are adorable; I think they are the nicest bunny plates I have seen. I like that you have highlighted them in your setting. The calico plates look wonderful on the rattan chargers. It all just works so nicely!

I also like your clear goblets with the swirl, too. And the blue and white balls - great deal on those beauties!

Thanks for sharing the information about your windows. They sound like the perfect windows to have on a four-season porch.

I can definitely see why you love being on that porch. A screened in porch on the water is a wonderful addition to a beach house! It is on my wish list for the next house when we retire--after several more years of kids in college... I have that calico pattern and I love it. You have used it so well with the white dishes and the rattan charger. I saw those balls in Pier 1 but didn't know what to do with them--well now i do--they are beautiful as a centerpiece! Enjoy the nice weather coming soon! Linda

Love the sunroom! I've wanted one but was afraid it would be too hot to use in the summer in Ok. Do you have ceiling fans in yours?

The table setting is lovely!

Honestly, I'm so inspired by these tablescapes, Carol. My reality is having a 2 year old grandchild around, so that keeps me from having anything decorative on my table that might also inspire him to climb up to investigate!
I really should be thinking about Easter and doing something special for that. Suppose I can still get some of those bunny plates...?

Carolyn said...

Thank you all for such nice comments!! I am just thrilled that I can share with friends!

Lesa: We do not use ceiling fans. We thought about it but have found that a great breeze will blow through the room when the windows are raised or lowered. As long as there is a breeze outside! A couple of times, we have used a small fan in the corner but overall, we don't need it.

Nancy: Bunny plates are no longer on the Pottery Barn website but I happen to be going to DM tomorrow and always stop into the store. If I see any more bunny plates, I'll text you and let you know in case you're interested!

"My photos would consist of a path dug out, the chair uprighted and a case of wine sitting next to it. With me in the chair, drinking the wine and waving at the neighbors because the garage door will no longer close after shifting everything to clear the path."

That comment on my post about the garage made me laugh my ass off!!! My favorite blogging moment to date!

Then I showed it to my husband and he laughed just as hard!

Please invite me over. I will bring even more wine. I think we have way too much in common. Not to mention that I have those same Calico dinner plates!
