30 Decorated Theme Tables! (Part I)

Earlier this week, I attended a Theme Table fundraiser for a local business. Approximately 30 tables were set up in the gymnasium of the college in our town. Most tables represented local businesses along with a few individually designed tables. I was thrilled to attend the event and witness the creativity put into each table!

I took many photographs and am so excited to share them! I wish I could post every single photo as some of the details on the tables were so special.

This is Part 1 of 3 separate posts, so be sure and check out Part 2 and Part 3 to see all of the tables I am sharing. (I didn't want to put all the photos in one post and have it too photo-heavy.)

(When the event was organized, I wasn't asked to do a table, but I'm hoping next year I will be. I already have a dozen themes picked out! With all the stuff I have accumulated over my life, I could almost decorate 30 tables single-handedly. LOL!)

The dinner was served by the college food service and it was delicious! Chicken lasagna was the main course. Each course was served on a clear plate which could be set on top of the dishes used for the tablescapes.

The keynote speaker was Jill Swanson. She is a motivational and inspirational speaker/author who talked to us about looking and being your best. I enjoyed her so much! I've been to a few dozen seminars and have heard many keynote speakers and after awhile, they are all kinda similar... Jill, however, was a breath of fresh air! She is a Christian speaker and I hope to hear her again sometime! Check out her website if you want to read more about her.

The entire evening was beautifully done!

Getting ready for the event.

Taking some photos while the tables were being set up.

"The Fifties" tablescape. Poodles, malt shoppe glasses and music.

Loved the centerpiece! Saddle shoes -- what a cool idea.

Music note salt and pepper shakers.

Chairs decorated with matching colors to the theme.

"Hunters Dream" using camouflage table covering. Hunting jackets and vests on the chairs.

"Garden Party" theme. The purple goblets added such a splash of color and of course I love the napkins!

This tablecape was a Silpada jewelry seller. The catalogs are the placemats!

"Spring Flowers" using vintage Noritake china. Napkins are folded into Lotus Blossoms. This table was so gorgeous!

(My only contribution to the event - I folded the napkins for this table decorator!)

Does anybody know the name of this pattern? It is beautiful! It belonged to her grandmother.

"God Bless the USA" theme. T-shirts adorn the chairs. I am always drawn to anything patriotic and was happy to see this was the first table to be seen as people entered the room.
God Bless the USA!

The plates, cups and glasses were purchased in the 1940's and are still being used at the American Legion in a nearby town.

"Dan the Builder" sponsored by a local construction company. Great idea for napkin rings!

"Travel the World" - Postcards and other items from other countries were in the center.

"Fiesta" - the decorator used her collection to decorate this table for a local pharmacy. The placemats are handmade. I always love Fiesta settings -- they are so colorful! Not sure if it was intended or not, but the candies were perfect for a pharmacy -- they look like pills!

Bows on the backs of the chairs for the "Fiesta" theme.

Be sure and check out Part 2 and Part 3 to see the rest of the tables!

30 Decorated Theme Tables! (Part 2)

Continuing with the tablescapes from the fundraising event I attended earlier this week. This is Part 2 of 3 posts. Be sure and check out Part 1 and Part 3!

"Don't Wait Until Pigs Fly...Start Saving" tablescape. This was sponsored by a local bank. SO creative! Check out the wings on the backs of the chairs.

Decorated piggy banks surrounded the centerpiece.

"Black and White and Red All Over" -- this tablescape belongs to a community newspaper. The newspaper is "Read all over" -- get it? Very cool!

"Small Steps to Healthy Living" was sponsored by the county health system. A lot going on with this table! "Orange" you glad you're reading this blog?

Shoes used in the centerpiece!

"Wild West" sponsored by the Wells Fargo Bank. I have to mention the bank name since they use a stagecoach in their logo. Love the bandanas on the chairs with the little cowboy hats! This is one of the tables I would've love to have done as I have stagecoach themed transferware.

Great centerpiece and salt and pepper shakers!

"Let's Thrive" -- decorated by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Casino themed table sponsored by the casino in town. The description had much more detail so I think I took this photo too soon!

"Table of Champions" -- this was a VERY cool table! Using the school colors for the local high school with many photos on the table. T-shirts and pom-poms on the chairs - adorable!

Tropies from the high school showcase make up the centerpiece. I'm still wondering how on earth she talked someone at the high school into letting them leave the showcase!

Rose themed table. Beautiful china on this table!

Glass roses are set in colored sand as accent pieces. Each person took home a rose from this table!

Iowa Lakes Community College table. The napkin holders are little mint holders with the college logo on it. (This is the college I work for.)

"April Showers Bring May Flowers" -- clear glass stones on the table look like raindrops!

"Spring Essence" -- I was crazy for these dragonfly napkins and gorgeous stoneware!

The stemware is so unique.

"Going Green" tablescape. Environmentally friendly! Pieces of a log from a tree that was cut down are used as chargers.

Egg shell planters are used as table accents.

Be sure and check out Part 1 and Part 3 to see the rest of the tables!

30 Decorated Theme Tables! (Part 3)

Last post for the tablescapes from the fundraising event I attended. This is Part 3 of 3 posts. Be sure and check out Part 1 and Part 2!

"Denim & Daisies" is the theme for this table. Loved this! White and yellow daisies straight from the garden center grace the center of the table. The runner is pieced together with old jeans and denim. A denim jacket with yellow and white daisies on them adorn the backs of the chairs.

How cute is this?? Denim pockets from old jeans are the holder for the napkin and flatware.
Dishes are perfect for the table with the denim-blue colored rims.

"Garden Thyme" tablescape featured this Jadeite glass dinnerware. A mixture of new and vintage are on the table -- I couldn't stare at this table enough! Individal pots of thyme were part of the centerpiece and each person at this table took one home.

Chair backs were so pretty!

The theme on this table was "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and the photos do not do it justice! Fairytale inspiration made this table such a dream -- there were hidden fairies and fairy dust on the table.

Individual place cards were put into small frames and each place setting had individual salt and pepper shakers. Love the napkins holders.

The "A & W" table -- this was so great!! Check out the uniforms on the chairs with the visors worn by the employees.

Each place setting had these goodies -- cupcakes baked in a cone and these "French fries" with adorable little "hamburgers" made from vanilla wafers and peppermint patties.

Great centerpiece and the menu was a unique touch.

"English Garden Luncheon" is the theme at this table. This china was gorgeous! The cloches used in the centerpiece were absolutely perfect on the table.

The napkins were handmade from the table decorator's grandmother. She received them when she was a little girl and used them for her tea parties.

Right on time for Cinco de Mayo this table was called "Sombrero Fiesta." Centerpieces are the sombreros surrounded by colorful hand-painted pottery animals.

Check out the gummy worms in the bottom of the margarita glasses.

This was called "Yesterday's Memories are Today's Treasures" -- I loved how they turned the placemats sideways to work on the round table. (I am one of those who absolutely cannot use a square placemat on a round table!)

These surrounded the centerpiece. The dishes for this were beautiful stoneware and I just learned what these glasses are called in another blog but already forgot the name.

Be sure and check out Part 1 and Part 2 to see the rest of the tables!
